Motivated by public interest journalism that makes a difference to people’s lives, she is a highly creative senior leader with an award winning and multi-platform portfolio across local, national and global journalism.
She has a passion for and a strong track record in leading and developing editorial strategy, with a focus on digital.
At BBC 5 Live, the BBC’s News and Sport network, she ran the largest UK network newsroom outside of London. Including overseeing coverage of the EU referendum & Brexit, two UK elections as well as the election of Donald Trump and the terror attacks in London and Manchester Arena, her role incorporated everything from setting a distinctive creative calendar, delivering a relevant and inclusive current affairs offer and overseeing all of BBC 5Live’s News programmes, including its political offer and breaking news operation.
She co-commissioned award-winning podcasts including Brexitcast, You, Me & The Big C, Sista Collective and Hope High.
In 2015 Rozina launched the DigiHub for the BBC World Service, developing and innovating global journalism for digital, social and online platforms including exec editing BBC News Instagram.
And in 2017 she launched the Digital Pilots team, a BBC News and BBC Audio collaboration, the aim of which was to tell the stories of younger Northern Women for BBC News, BBC Radio, BBC Sounds and BBC Three.
